The Staff
The professional coaching staff of the the Latin Baseball
Academy has extensive experience playing at the professional and amateur high
level. All LBA coaches are hand picked to ensure the highest quality of instruction
regardless of the participant's ability level. This group of coaches has the
latin philosophy that makes the players take this sport seriously while having
fun, learning to play hard, and loving his field position. Doing things correctly,
no matter how many times we have to repeat the play, is our belief. Our entire
staff has the mission of effectively providing young people with the skills
that guide them towards success on the baseball diamond and throughout life;
therefore, teaching the importance of individual responsibility, teamwork,
and a positive attitude towards everyday life.

* Born in Dominican Republic, June 17, 1963
* 30 years of baseball experience
* Played professional baseball for Licey Reserve program in 1979 and 1980
* Played level AA in Santo Domingo D from 1981 to 1990
* Selected to play in the Dominican National team in the Center Ameriancan
and Carribean games in Guatemala in 1990
* Member of Quebec Senior team in the Canadian Championship in 1991
* Professional Scout for Arizona Diamond Backs since 1997
* Latin American assistant supervisor for former major league baseball player
* General Manager assistant of the Arizona Diamond backs, Junior Noboa.

Pitching Instructor
* Born in Caracas Venezuela, November 21, 1965
* 25 years of baseball experience
* Played amateur baseball in Venezuela since 1980
* Member of national team 5 times in diferent age categories since 1995
* Started as a catcher and become pitching coach in 1996
* Franklim was Cincinatti and Arizona Academy in Dominican Republic in summer
2007 to do the pitching program to utilize the pitchers skills for our academy

Martinez
Hitting Instructor and Infield Coordinator
* Born in Dominican Republic, April 13, 1973
* 22 years of baseball experience,
* Played 3B for the Seattle Mariners organization from 1990 to 1997
* Martinez also played winter league for the most popular team Aguilas
* Team make of Manny Ramirez, Tony Pena, Stan Javier, Miguel Dilone and many
other major league baseball players.
* In 2007, he became a member of our academy; with his experience, he endeavours
to assist in correcting hitting mechanisms and work as infield defence coordinator.

Nuñoz
Piching Instructor and Outfield Coordinator
* Born in Dominican Republic, December 10, 1966
* 24 years of baseball experience
* Pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers from 1985 to 1990
* Became outfield from 1990 to 2003
* Played winter and summer professional league baseball in Dominican Republic.
* Was team make of the future Hall of Fame Gary Sheffield when both were rookies
in the Milwaukee organization.

Martinez
Hitting Instructor and Infield Coordinator
* Born in Dominican Republic, October 26, 1967
* 25 years of baseball experience
* Played amateur baseball AA from 1986 to 2001
* National baseball selection in 3 different age catagories
* Played outfield and first base
* Outstanding left batting hitter and awesome defense player
* Become a coach for our academy this year and will help a lot with his
enthusiasm and his experience.

Trainer and Nutrition Advisor
* Born in Dominican Republic, August 3, 1984
* Miguel will have the most important part of this programme by preparing
the players physically and mentally before the practice and games
* He is a graduate in Physical Education and Nutrition in the University Ucamaima
in Santiago Dr
* He also have been in Cincinatti and Arizona academys in Dominican Republic
